Mental Health Charity, Chorley & South Ribble Mind Ltd, based on Devonshire Road in Chorley, has recently invested £110,000 of its reserves in buying the upstairs to their existing Association Office. Having recently secured partnership contracts with DISC, the gateway to providing floating support in Lancashire, CSR Mind now want to develop their success by offering new domiciliary care to people suffering a range of mental health problems. 

 

Residential support needs are vital to people who may be suffering from all levels of mental distress. As a local charity, CSR Mind have a wealth of experience in assisting people build their self confidence and self esteem, encourage social interaction, and engaging people within the community. In addition, it promotes well being and social inclusion, whilst at the same time helping to reduce the stigma often associated with mental health. Registered Manager, Mark Lunney pointed out “CSR Mind is well known locally and has an excellent reputation for quality and professionalism, it’s because of this we are able to develop our services further”.

 

Chairman, Peter McClelland is delighted with developments and commented; “This acquisition provides for larger office space and a new boardroom facility, which means the charity, can increase its staff capacity to meet expected demands of growth. It also provides much needed facilities for our trustee’s and management, to meet regularly in providing governance and effective leadership for the future’.
