Floating Support in partnership with Compass Floating Support Lancashire
A wide range of help is offered via the floating support service which allows you to settle into independent living within the community. If you are in a tenancy we can support you in your home through floating support.
The service aims to support you with some or all of the following:
- Setting up and maintaining your home, finding furniture, connecting to utilities and advice to remain safe and secure
- Assistance with benefits, grants, maximising your income, budgeting your finances and advice on debt management
- Developing your independent living skills
- Developing your social or emotional skills and access community or specialist services
- Accessing education, volunteering or employment
Referrals to the service can be made by the individual or by external agencies. You can contact Mind directly and a support development worker can help you with your application. It is important that you indicate Mind as your floating support provider if you wish for a Mind worker to provide this support to you.
