COMPANY BACKGROUND

Chorley South Ribble & Blackburn Mind Ltd is an independent local charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee. The organisation was inaugurated in 1986 and affiliated to National Mind as a Local Mind Association. The organisation is governed by an Executive Committee, which is comprised of people with an interest in Mental Health issues and a number of service users who have full voting rights on the Committee. In addition to the Association Office (AO), we provide day services, supported housing, floating support and domiciliary care to local people suffering from a range of mental health needs.

Its scheduled Annual General Meetings normally take place early September of each year.

We currently employ 25 people operating in areas above. We are proud of the high reputation we have amongst local government and health professionals. Who consider us as being innovators in our field, dedicated to the care of people with mental health problems. We have positive outlook on reducing the stigma associated with mental health and plan to expand our area of operation and service delivery, initially to surrounding areas such as Blackburn with Darwen and potentially on into the Preston area as our LMA continues to develop strong links in Lancashire.
